Who we support

For growing businesses
and busy finance teams.

This service suits businesses that need clearer monthly reporting, better visibility over cash, or a structured approach to budgets and planning. It can support an owner-led company, an expanding SME or an existing finance team that needs help with a specific project.

We start with the decisions you need to make. A service business may need project margins and cash forecasts, while a trading company may need closer attention to stock, customer collections and supplier commitments. The reporting should reflect how your business works.

Discuss your business →

Reports that support real decisions

Financial management uses records, forecasts and analysis to help management plan and review business performance. For example, a profitable month may still require cash planning when customers pay after wages and supplier bills fall due.

We separate actual results from forecasts, document assumptions and explain limitations in the available data. Management reports do not provide an independent audit opinion, and forecasts are planning tools rather than guarantees of future results.

Your questions answered

Financial Management FAQs.

What are financial management services?

They help a business understand and plan its financial performance through reporting, cash forecasts, budgets, working-capital analysis and decision support. The aim is to make information useful to the people running the business.

How is this different from bookkeeping?

Bookkeeping records and classifies transactions. Financial management uses those records to explain performance, forecast cash and support planning. Reliable bookkeeping is an important foundation, and missing records may need attention first.

Can you help a business that is profitable but short of cash?

Yes. We can review the timing of collections and payments, funds tied up in working capital and upcoming commitments. A cash forecast helps management assess the situation and consider practical actions.

Can you work with our existing accountant or finance team?

Yes. We can agree a focused role alongside your current team, using an agreed reporting timetable and clear responsibilities for supplying, preparing and approving information.

Do we need monthly support or a one-off project?

Both can be discussed. A specific forecast or finance review may be a defined project, while recurring reporting and budget monitoring may suit ongoing support. The appropriate approach depends on your decisions and internal capacity.

Will you replace our accounting software?

A software change is not automatically required. We first review your existing records, systems and reporting process. Any proposed system or process improvements are discussed and scoped separately.

Does this include an audit or investment management?

The page covers business financial planning and management reporting. An independent statutory audit is a separate engagement. Portfolio management, securities recommendations and investment execution are not included in this service scope.

How much does financial management support cost?

Fees depend on the number of entities, data quality, reporting frequency and the analysis required. Your initial consultation is free. We then propose defined deliverables, responsibilities, timing and fees.
